Addaction

The Knowsley Engagement Co-Operative (KEC) is made up of many organisations that support people into jobs, training or Self-Employment. Included below is some information from one of the members of the KEC, Addaction, who give support to substance misusers and their families, explaining about their service.

Addaction: The Knowsley Recovery Team
The Knowsley Recovery Team work throughout the Knowsley borough assisting Service Users and their families, carers and concerned others through the recovery treatment process. The team work alongside existing project workers who offer 1 to 1 support and have input creating a recovery plan for each service user and to identify their personal interests and goals in relation to recovery and to “getting the life they want” within their community.

Knowsley Recovery Services offer-:
We offer a wide range of services to support anyone recovering from substance abuse such as heroin, cannabis, cocaine and other stimulants. Regardless of your drug of choice you will be assessed and your drug worker will assess your suitability for the following options and develop a recovery plan.

Including Electro Stimulation Therapy and Acupuncture for help with triggers, cravings, withdrawal symptoms and sleeping patterns.

Community Reinforcement Approach
Recovery groups focusing on setting and achieving realistic goals with the service user around their substance misuse.

Substitute Prescribing Options
